Black Diamond Mines Regional Preserve
A regional preserve with trails and mining heritage, north of Clayton.

- Gate 8am–8pm through September 7, 2026, then 8am–7pm September 8 to October 9, 2026, as the district published it; later hours are seasonal.
- Dogs
- Leash in parking, developed and picnic areas and within 200 feet of entrances, or as posted; voice control always.
- Bikes
- Designated trails only.
- Horses
- Horseback riding is listed; individual trail permissions follow the map and signs.
- Fees
- A vehicle fee is collected at the main staffed kiosk. That is not evidence of a fee on the Clayton side.
